Aim and Scope

 
Wood. Drewno is an open-access platform for international knowledge and idea exchange in the wood-based science and industry. It publishes innovative, excellent, and informative research and review articles identifying trends and driving future research agendas to provide sustainable forest functions for current and future generations. Subjects include, but are not limited to:

  • wood science: anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics, wood quality
  • wood and wood-based products and processes: bioadhesives, lignocellulosic composites, construction and green building, sustainable coating systems, furniture and interior design products, pulp and paper
  • environmental aspects of forestry-wood sector: climate change implications, LCA, S-LCA, carbon footprint, valorization of waste streams, residual biomass management, circular economy
  • lignocellulosic biomass conversion: chemical, thermal, mechanical, biotechnology, bioenergy production from lignocellulosic biomass
  • forest engineering: wood harvesting, sustainable forest operations, digitalization in forestry
  • wood value chain management: economics, transportation and logistics
